MileTested

A recommendation with a reason.

How MileTested evaluates running gear, uses evidence, writes recommendations, and handles commercial relationships.

Fit, purpose, and useful detail

We evaluate running gear around its intended use, construction, fit considerations, and practical buying details. We make qualitative recommendations rather than numeric ratings. A positive recommendation still includes the limitations that matter to the runner choosing it.

Evidence behind our writing

Our launch reviews draw on official manufacturer specifications and editorial comparison. Product photographs come from manufacturer sources. Where documented testing is available in future coverage, we will distinguish its findings from manufacturer claims. We do not invent mileage, laboratory measurements, or personal testing experiences.

Exact models and regional details

Model versions, reference numbers, source dates, and regional stores are kept with our product records. We do not assume a specification, promotion, or delivery term applies to every region. Published weights are manufacturer reference figures and may vary by size.

Commercial relationships

Partner links may earn us a commission. Codes and benefits are listed only after the relationship and offer have been confirmed. A supplied code is separate from a completed checkout test. We do not promise that a code stacks with a sale, applies to every product, or never expires unless those terms are established.

Keeping coverage useful

We update articles when the information or recommendation changes. A date change is not a substitute for checking the source. Price, stock, and checkout totals are confirmed by the store when you order.
